Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited (TAAL) is a company that specialises in Aerospace and Aviation Services. It was founded in 1994 and is based in Hosur, Tamil Nadu – India.
The company provides a range of services including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), as well as manufacturing of aerospace parts. TAAL is known for its expertise in the military and commercial aviation sector.
TAAL specialises in aviation and collaboration, and aims to contribute to the growth and development of the aerospace industry in India. The company has a team to take up services for military and defence related helicopters, aircraft avionics retrofitting and other modifications.
TAAL’s focus on MRO facilities, helicopter testing and assembly, is essential for advancing aviation capabilities. By integrating advanced infrastructure, technology and support services, TAAL can effectively support the growing demands of the aviation sector globally, while prioritising safety and efficiency.

Our Chairman
Dr. Prahlada Rama Rao,
Chairman.
Dr. Prahlada Rama Rao is a well-renowned Indian missile scientist. He is the former Vice Chancellor of the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology and a former Director of the Defence Research and Development Laboratory. He was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri in 2015, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.
He is a graduate in mechanical engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering. He also holds a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, specializing in rockets and missile systems. He pursued his research at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, from where he secured a doctoral degree (PhD).
He started his career with the Government of India and has served several space and defence organizations, such as the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram and the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) in Bengaluru before joining the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) in Hyderabad as its Director. During his tenure there, he also served as the Chairman of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGDMP).

Salil Baldev Taneja
Promoter & Non Executive Director
Salil Taneja aged 57 is a Non- Executive Director. He holds a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Ohio and a Master’s in Public and Private Management from Yale University.
He was earlier a Whole Time Director of Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited and the CEO of ISMT Limited. Currently he is the Managing Director of TAAL Tech India Pvt. Ltd. and TAAL Enterprises Ltd. respectively. He has more than 25 years of work experience in industry and corporate management.
He is a Member of Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
Muralidhar Chitteti Reddy
Non Independent & Non Executive Director
C M Reddy aged 68 is a Non-Executive Director. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University and an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad.
He was the Founder of Encore Cement & Additives P. Ltd which is now a part of M/s ACC Ltd. He has held leadership position in seamless tubes, steel, cement and defense electronics companies.
He is a Member of a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Rahael Shobhana Joseph
Whole Time Director
Rahael Shobhana Joseph aged 48 is an Executive Director. She is a Graduate in Management (B.Sc.) from Royal Holloway University of London and has experience in brand development, account management and offshore business development across various industry segments.
She is a Member of the Audit Committee and Stakeholder Relationship Committee.
Arvind Nanda
Non Executive Independent Director
Arvind Nanda aged 71 is a Non-Executive Independent Director. He is a graduate in Production Engineering from PEC, Chandigarh and an alumnus of IIM Bangalore.
He has a career spanning over four decades in automotive, aviation & engineering industries. He has held leadership positions with Jessop & Company, Anand Automotive Systems and Gabriel India. He has been a member of the Civil Aviation Advisory Board of the Government of India and CII’s National Committee on Civil Aviation. He has held professional membership of National Institute of Industrial Engineering & National Institute of Personnel Management.
He is a Member of an Audit Committee, Stakeholder Relationship Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee & Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
Rakesh Duda,
Managing Director.
Rakesh Duda has studied electrical engineering at IIT(BHU) and has over the last 45 years worked in the areas of techno-economic and management consulting, applied economic research, development project design and management, strategic planning, communication, people development, liaison and general management. He worked for Industrial Development Services, National Council for Applied Economic Research, United States Agency for International Development, Hero MotoCorp Ltd and ISMT Limited before joining TAAL as the MD in 2022.
He considers himself to be a people’s person who can work with teams on strategy development and execution. His interests include reading, writing, and extensively and intimately interacting with people from across professional disciplines, age profiles and socio-economic classes.

K. Durga Rao,
Chief Operating Officer.
Durga Rao, holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and MBA. He’s a dynamic and results-driven professional with extensive experience in operational and maintenance management, project management and general administration in Power, Steel and Seamless Tube sectors.
Mr. Rao has a proven track record of optimising processes, leading cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless operations to achieve organisational goals. Before joining Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited, he worked as Executive Vice President at ISMT Limited.
Throughout his career, he demonstrated an impressive ability to adapt and excel in multiple roles.
S. Sounderajan,
Sr. General Manager.
Soundararajan is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. He has a B1 Licence for Aircraft Maintenance. He joined Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited in 1992, and has about 32 years of rich experience in manufacturing of aircraft and certification and maintenance of various types of aircraft.
He’s been leading and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Ramesh Kumar Rathi
Advisor
Ramesh Kumar Rathi is a seasoned finance and legal professional with over three decades of experience. He is a Chartered Accountant and Law Graduate.
He has held key positions at renowned organizations such as J K Industries, Sunflag Iron and Steel Company Limited, and ISMT Limited. He is currently associated with TAAL Group as an Advisor. His deep understanding of finance, accounting, audit, and management has been instrumental in driving organizational growth, efficiency & resolution of complex business issues.
He is a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and his expertise lies in Financial Management, Risk Management, Auditing and Legal Compliance.
Jitendra R. Muthiyan
CFO
Mr. Jitendra R. Muthiyan is a Masters in Commerce (M.Com).
He has been associated with TAAL Group for past nine years and was previously associated with ISMT Limited, TAAL Enterprises Limited.
He has previously worked with Cassiopae Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and the Pushpam Group.
He has done his article-ship with S. Gautam & Associates.
Ashwini Navare
Company Secretary & Compliance Officer
Ashwini Navare is a certified Company Secretary with 7 years of post-qualification experience and is working as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer for Taneja Aerospace & Aviation Ltd. for the last 3 years.
In the past, she has worked with Corpage India Advisors Private Limited, Mtech Innovations Limited and MITCON Consultancy & Engineering Services Limited.
She has hands on & supervisory work experience in statutory compliances, secretarial audits, due diligence, FEMA compliances, etc. She also has handled internal and statutory audits.
She is an athlete and has won prizes in various national & state level rope yoga competitions.
